Dr. Maureen Murphy of the Lake Delton Dean Clinic has recently been named an Associate Medical Director of the Home Health United – Hospice program. Dr. Murphy also practices at St. Clare Hospital, and is nationally board certified in hospice and palliative care.
Dr. Murphy joins current Medical Director Dr. John DeGiovanni of Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital and Associate Medical Director Dr. Randy Krszjzaniek of Medical Associates Dean Clinic in Baraboo.
"I have found the nurses and staff working within the HHU – Hospice program to be amongst some of the most committed caregivers I know. They are sensitive, perceptive and respectful of each patient’s journey at the end of their life," said Dr. Murphy. "I feel privileged to partner with such a group as we try to lessen the emotional and physical pain in each person and their family’s experience of death and dying."
"Dr. Murphy is a welcomed addition to the HHU – Hospice team," said Tammy LaRocco APNP, HHU – Hospice Patient Care Manager. "We’re grateful to have her support and commitment to providing care to local residents for many years."
The HHU – Hospice Medical Directors: provide oversight to the Hospice interdisciplinary teams and patient medication management; act as liaisons to attending physicians; collaborate with the Hospice APNP; conduct Medicare-required face-to-face visits for ongoing certification for patients; and review patients’ plans of care every two weeks.
In addition to hospice, Home Health United provides a variety of services to patients and families across southern Wisconsin, including home health, home medical equipment, community health and wellness programs, Meals On Wheels, infusion pharmacy, and immunization clinics.
