The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently updated Home Health Compare to include a 5 star rating system to measure agencies’ relative, overall performance on nine of the 29 quality measures already posted on Home Health Compare.
These measures include:
- Managing daily activities
- Managing pain and treating symptoms
- Treating wounds and preventing pressure
- Preventing harm
- Preventing unplanned hospital care
According to figures provided to CMS and based on quality data collected from 2014, most agencies across the country fall “in the middle” with 3 or 3.5 stars. In fact the national and state of Wisconsin averages are both 3 stars.
Home Health United is proud of the care we provide and our 4.5 star rating, which was earned by only 8.3% of the 9,000 agencies measured, shows our commitment to bringing exceptional care to our patients.
Committed to Quality
Not only did Home Health United earn a 4.5 star rating, we also have the distinction of being named to the top 25% of home care providers (out of 10,000 in the nation) for nine years in a row by HomeCare Elite.
