Over the past few days it’s been downright arctic throughout the Midwest but our Meals On Wheels volunteers know hunger doesn’t care about the forecast. With temperatures well below zero even before adding the wind chill, our dedicated volunteers bundled up and headed out to make sure none of our over 230 daily recipients went hungry because of the cold. In addition to providing a warm meal, volunteers were also able to verify the safety of our recipients in the extremely cold conditions.
Check out video of the recent cold weather deliveries.
