Home Health United Pharmacy Earns Accreditation

Home Health United's enteral program via their Infusion Pharmacy has been recently accredited by the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP).

CHAP accreditation demonstrates that Home Health United meets the industry's highest nationally recognized standards. Rigorous evaluation by CHAP focuses on structure and function, quality of services and products, human and financial resources, and long-term viability. CHAP's purpose is to define and advance the highest standards of community-based care.

"Home Health United takes a great deal of pride in our CHAP accreditation," said Rick Bourne, Home Health United President and CEO. "This accreditation reinforces the high level of quality products and services we offer."

All HHU infusion patients are served by a state-of-the-art sterile compounding pharmacy by a dedicated team of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Insurance Specialists and Delivery Technicians. Pharmacists work collaboratively with physicians to ensure that the patient receives the highest quality of care. The pharmacy team provides individualized patient assessment and progress monitoring throughout the course of treatment to achieve optimal outcomes.

In addition to the Infusion Pharmacy, Home Health United provides a variety of services to patients and families across southern Wisconsin, including home health, hospice, home medical equipment, and immunization clinics.

CHAP is an independent, not-for-profit, accrediting body for community-based health care organizations. Through “deeming authority” granted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), CHAP has the regulatory authority to survey agencies providing home health, hospice and home medical equipment services, to determine if they meet the Medicare Conditions of Participation and CMS Quality Standards.
