How do you determine the cost of my services?

Home Health United is a non-profit organization and relies on the recommendations of manufacturers for suggested retail prices. Please note that your cost sharing amounts may be based on pre-arranged rates between Home Health United and your insurer. Our professional and delivery services are usually provided to you at no charge.

If I am not using rental equipment and it is still in my home, will I be charged?

Yes. Home Health United has provided equipment according to your physician's order for you to use according to your physician’s directions. If you choose to stop using your equipment or if your treatment has ended, please notify Home Health United to make arrangements to discontinue and return the equipment.

How do I know what I will be charged?

If we are able to verify your benefits and coverage, Home Health United will give you this information at the time you receive new services from us including an estimate based on your cost sharing amounts. If we are unable to verify your coverage, we will provide you with information on the charges in the event coverage cannot be secured for your care.

Will I be expected to pay upon receiving services?

If you have a cost sharing amount, like a copay, we may collect all or a portion of the amount at the time of service or delivery. If you are paying for an item that is not covered by your insurance or you have elected to bypass your insurance coverage, we will need to collect the balance of the amount due at the time of service or delivery.

What should I do if my insurance changes and I receive services from Home Health United?

Please call Home Health United as soon as possible. First, we need to ensure that we are a participating provider with your new insurer so you can continue receiving services from us. Second, we need to ensure that your medical condition meets the coverage guidelines for your new insurer and that you are still eligible to receive benefits.

How can I reorder my supplies?

You can initiate a reorder by calling Home Health United directly or by visiting any of the locations above.

What options do I have to receive my equipment or supplies?

Home Health United provides items through Speedee Delivery Service or UPS and by personal delivery by professional staff and/or delivery technicians. You may pre-order your equipment and supplies for pick up at any of our locations as well. Please know that Home Health United may have set recommendations or policies for the delivery of specific equipment.

What should I do if I need more training on my services or supplies after my initial orientation?

Please call us. Home Health United has professional staff that can provide further instruction on many services or supplies. We also have informational materials available for your reference. If your questions are clinical or therapeutic in nature, Home Health United may direct you to or work with your physician to answer your question. If your need requires skilled nursing, we may contact our home health agency, Home Health United Visiting Nurse Service to assist you.
