Foot Care

Are your elders resistant to wearing shoes? Could be that their toenails are too long and wearing shoes hurts their feet? Is your loved one limping or resistive to walking--preferring to use their wheelchair or mobility device instead of getting the exercise they so badly need? It could be that their toenails are too long or they have an ingrown toenail. Nail care should be done at a minimum of every other month - depending on how quickly the nails grow. Regular professional nail care is a dose of prevention that everyone needs. The nail clinician will inspect the feet, check for any open areas and skin conditions- and make recommendations for MD referral if necessary. Home Health United provides foot care clinics at many locations throughout the month.
